NESSIE Sdn Bhd (NESSIE) is a consultancy firm working on issues pertaining to gender and child rights from both local and international agencies. NESSIE’s approach is grounded both in international standards as well as on on-going work experience with the community in Malaysia. The work done by NESSIE is undertaken by NESSIE’s principal director, Prema Devaraj. Where necessary, she works with a team of consultants who have specialist skills and knowledge on gender mainstreaming, gender equality, women and good governance, women’s empowerment, child protection and safeguarding, as well as social policy with an emphasis on diversity, inclusion and equity. The team is based both in Penang and Selangor.
